Why Does He Need All Those Muscles?
I started questioning the other day, why does Clark Kent have all those muscles? If he can lift a car, tractor, etc. with ease, why does he need the muscles? If he was scrawny, or overweight, would he not still have the same strength too do his Superman feats?
And since he does have those muscles, how did he get so muscular? Is he just out bench-pressing semi trucks when nobody is looking? Any regular work out routine for Clark Kent would be like a regular person lifting a pencil. How does Clark Kent maintain his secret if the only way he could exercise would be to lift a jumbo jet a few thousand times? In his pre-Superman days he must be doing something to get into shape – and I don’t think it’s lifting bails of hay.
Maybe Kryptonians are just naturally muscular, and don’t need to do a whole lot to keep in shape?
