Getting an iPhone has totally changed how I’ve been thinking about photography. I now have a single page of just photography apps, not including the default Photos and Camera applications.
I saw this clip of Danny Way at the X Games this morning. I remember when I first saw him skate on the Powell Peralta Public Domain video back in the late 80’s. He’s a lot bigger and a lot older but he still is a great skateboarder. In the clip below, he breaks his foot when he hits the coping, but continues to skate anyway.
So it looks like we have a neighbor that just lets their cat run wild outside – only problem is that it likes to run inside other people’s houses and bite and scratch if you try to pick it up.
Tonight it ran inside one of the townhomes in our unit – the owner came to see if it was ours and it ran right upstairs – when Melinda went to pick it up it scratched her really good on the forehead.
When will people learn to keep their cats inside? When will they learn that they need to get a license and rabies tag for their cats?
Melinda and I try to do our best to rescue stray animals since someone saved our bird Pinba, but these people need to learn. They’ve been told multiple times there cats are running around the neighborhood and the animal control officers have told them they need to get tags. Since the police can’t do anything tonight I will call the Longmont animal control to do something about it in the morning.
Earlier this week I read an article about a guy suing his state lottery because he bought a scratch ticket when the grand prize had already been given away.
Now today I read of a similar story of a woman in Colorado Springs. I get the idea that she read the same article that I did and was able to convince a lawyer that there is big money in it for them.
I hope the judge throws this one out right away. I think all people know the chances of them winning the grand prize are very little, so they are hoping to win one of the smaller prizes. But perhaps this is just another one of this woman’s get rich quick schemes – right after winning the lottery grand prize.
Melinda and I wondered if we’d be able to see the Longmont fireworks from our house – I wasn’t very confident we’d be able to see anything. Turns out we were able to see something by just barely. We had a better view of the Firestone fireworks than we did of the ones in Longmont. I guess we know next year that if we want to see fireworks, we actually need to leave the house.
